Nanotechnology: regulation
The development of nanotechnology and the introduction of nanotechnology-based products raise many issues concerning people’s safety and the environmental impact of the diffusion of nanoparticles. This situation jeopardizes the traditional technical forums where “classic” expectations used to be discussed. Indeed, these technical committees are poorly suited to handle ethical, legal and social aspects (ELSA). New places have been created to address the environmental and health risks associated with nanotechnology.
