Nanobench presentation
Nanobench has the aim to assess the scientific, technologic, economic and social impact of nanotechnology. It has three main objectives, which are:
- the constitution of the Nanobench Observatory. The observatory is a tool to address questions about science and technology dynamics, economic evolution and social debates. It is based on different indicators and maps out the debates around nanotechnologies: controversies, public debate, regulation…
- the collection of basic data. It is used to explore hypotheses about the convergence of existing scientific and technological fields, the complementary between large and small firms and strong agglomeration processes.
- the analysis of the influence of societal dynamics in market expectations.
The Nanobench project is supported by ANR, under the call PNano-ANR, for 4 years, from 2008 to 2011. Vincent Mangematin (research professor at GEM) is the project coordinator. Philippe Lebozec, from Armines, is the project manager. Two organisations participate in this project: Grenoble Ecole de Management and LATTS.
